Default BFD 3

I see the owners of BFD 3 are about to update .
I also see that they expect my computer to be online every 90 day's
Well this is my last version of BFD I will own.
No user of any program should have this thrust upon them.
It is dangerous to have an audio computer online.
There is so much to lose and nothing to gain.
I own an ilok and other plugin vendors have simple ways
to do licensing offline, I applaud those that do.

I am jumping ship as they say
Oh I own every plugin I am supposed to pay for.

Me too.

BFD is on its final 90 days here.

My internet access is going to be limited for a while so not much choice really.

BTW, this started with them trying to check up on customers once every month, didnt inform anyone that this was tied to being able to use the software, until it became clear the server check was totally broken and no one could use BFD.

They've been not very upfront about all this, the information has had to be dragged out of them every step of the way, usually down to the online authorisation system failing again and again and endless users locked out of the software. The server complaints come almost daily on the forum. Its now on this 90 day fiasco, with the same situation - if the server goes down, the software becomes useless data taking up space. The worst part of it is that this is amazing software, software I love, but that these anti-consumer practices are literally making it impossible to use.

No attempt at any sort of start of a road to a solution has been offered to customers, no mention of any ways in which the company will make this right and let offline customers use their expensive software.

Their main page states no internet needed to run the software, which simply isnt the case

Its been pretty disappointing to watch unfold. Users who arent in a situation where it matters can easily hand wave this away and happily carry on using BFD. Me? Soon I'll be locked out of the expensive software I bought and I wont be supporting this company ever again.

I tried, in vain, the get a response from BFD that showed ANY kind of action might be taken to make my BFD work offline over 90 days.

I got replied to with a message of dont talk to us about this again and then immediately blocked. I tried again, same response.

EDIT: I am now finally having a chat with someone at BFD about making this right.
