WHy Reaper is so slow when there are lots of docked FX windows?

I have used auto mute, but it seems not better.

plugins that are open (even if they are out of view) might still chew CPU. Perhaps we can make docked but hidden FX chains hide their plug-in UIs, that would be nice

Yes that would be truly amazing. When a project becomes big, I have always to close all the FX windows docked, if not, Reaper lags.

The benefit will be incredible.

I had sluggish behavior with RC-20 plugin opened, I heard that it has issues with optimization.

If you add this new feature, if we click on a docked windows FX to open it, the amount of time to display plugs will be fast or slow? Because, if it's slow, it's not great. :/

I have noticed this as well. With larger session, the time it take the FX window to display is extremely long.

I thought maybe it was kontakt or specific plugins but perhaps it's just the size of the session.
