Default Question About PDC

Using ReaLimit with Performance set to Low latency. It is the only plugin on a track.

Performance Meter for that track reads PDC 57.

Right click on 2 in 2 out of the ReaLimit Panel. PDC reads (57 spls).

Click on the PDC (57 spls) parameter and turn on (check mark) Disable.

Performance Meter reads PDC 0.

Right click again on 2 in 2 out of the ReaLimit Panel. PDC reads (57 spls).

Is the actual PDC value still 57 spls when using ReaLimit in this manner, even though the Performance Meter reads PDC 0? Which value is valid?

If you disable PDC, then PDC is not applied. The I/O right-click menu is telling you that the plugin is delaying the output by 57 samples, so if PDC is disabled, the output of that track will be out of sync with the rest of the project by 57 samples.

When PDC is disabled, we could change the menu item to display something like "Plug-in delay (not compensated)" instead of PDC.

Thank you for your response.

Change the menu as needed. Not necessary on this end with your explanation.

Thanks again.
