Reaper crashes when ReaSamplOmatic5000 sample is missing
Reaper crashes on hitting play when I have a project where I'm triggering a ReaSamplOmatic5000 sample via "JS:Audio To Midi Drum Trigger" but the sample is missing (eg. if the sample was not copied along with the project).
This is reproducible for me on various systems, running Reaper 6.63 Steps to reproduce: 1. An audio track used for triggering (eg. snare drum recording) 2. Create a send from that track to a track with the following inserts: JS: Audio To Midi Drum Trigger >>> ReaSamplOmatic5000 3. Load a .wav sample (drag and drop) into ReaSamplOmatic5000 4. Save project 5. Close project 6. Delete or move .wav sample from disk 7. Open project again 8. ReaSamplOmatic5000 loads with the name of the missing sample, but is empty 8. Press play, crash |

i tried the steps described above (verbatim and with variations) and was not able to reproduce.
reaper always prompted me for missing file on project open. |

That is correct - it does prompt you for the missing file on project open, but if you select "Leave file offline" or "Ignore all missing files" the project crashes on playback.

Do you maybe have a default preset for RS5k that is affecting this? Could you attach a project that crashes for you? No media required.

I'm not using any preset for RS5K. I'm attaching a project file where the crash is reproducible (as long as there is some audio on Track 1). |

Thanks for posting the project! We should be able to add a fix for this.
