[6.67] Take markers get duplicated in marker manager when it should not
Steps to reproduce:
- set take marker on media item > marker is visible as Tx (T1, T2 etc) in marker manager - do some edits (split, delete) on other places in the project - play over take marker Expected behavior - Tx Marker manager stays unchanged Actual behavior - Tx Marker gets duplicated entry in the marker manager, sometimes with a slightly different timestamp, sometimes the timestamp is identical Here is a gif demonstrating the issue: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r5rop51zi6...l%202.gif?dl=0 When you work with a lot of take markers, this tends to get really confusing really fast. OSX 12.6 M1 Mac Mini 2020 Reaper 6.67 (Sidenote: I work with take markers in podcasts because the stay attached to certain words, and will stay with the words when I do edits in a previous section of the podcast. As opposite to normal markers, which are not attached to media items, but to a certain timestamp in the project timeline. Therefore, when I do edits in the previous section, the next 'normal' marker would end up referencing words that it has nothing to do with.) |

It was discussed already about a week ago here:
Why are take marker entries in Marker manger doubled when splitting item? (SOLVED) https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=271487 It is not a bug. Read the reasons in the linked thread. |

We can make this behavior optional.

Thnx, I missed that one in my search, thanks for pointing me to it.
I've posted a reply in the original topic, as I am OK with this not being classified as a bug, but not sure if it should not be a feature request then. |
