Media Explorer MIDI files metadata
I'm trying to add a "genre" tag to a bunch of midi files via the media explorer.
If I select them all and right click "edit metadata tag / genre" nothing happens. The same with an individual midi file, I can select the file and double click the "genre" column and edit it there but can't do this for multiple files. The right click method works fine for audio files. Is this just a limitation of .mid files? Repaer 6.73 windows 10 |

Don't know if this is related: In the past I added Text Events in the MIDI Editor Event List and they were showed with exported files in Media Explorer. It is/was very useful to tag MIDI files like that! Don't know when that stopped working. I'm on 6.75/Win10.
For example: Code:
Title Track Name Comment Text Event Description Instrument Name Can someone educate me how to correctly tag MIDI files? Edit: Selecting all MIDI files and right-click "Re-read metadata from media" did the trick Last edited by zacki; 02-26-2023 at 03:15 AM. Reason: added solution |
