Super8: Fade out option

Would it be possible to add a fade out of the recorded loop when stopping it?
I am thinking of a clickable option to the right of the latch mode which can be engaged at some point after the loop has been recorded (shown as a red rectangle in the attachment) although other ideas are very welcome too. The line of code to add as an edit in the JS script would also be welcome!
