Default Actions List: Run "Glue Items" command performs "Glue Items within Time Selection"

Actions List: Run "Glue Items" command performs "Glue Items within Time Selection"

Hi,
I finally got around to attempting to bind a hotkey to Item: Glue Items, but as near as I can tell the command shown in the Actions List with the action text Item: Glue Items performs the function of the command displayed as Glue Items within time selection in the Items menu and the Media Item context menu.

I can't find an Actions List entry for the command Glue Items within time selection.

I hoped to bind a hotkey to the simple Glue Items action, and I anticipated finding both the Item: Glue Items action as well as a Glue Items within time selection action listed in the Actions List.

Is this a minor bug?

Is it possible that one action is missing from the actions list and another is mislabeled?

Thank you!

Hi Everyone.

Anyone?

Is it a bug? Or is there an explanation I have yet to understand?

I would really like to bind the regular Glue Items to a hot key but can't find the correct command in the actions list.

Thank you.

Still confused.

1 action or 2 separate actions?

Which gets triggered by Command Shift G?

What’s the difference?

Watch Kenny vid, Glue Items in REAPER
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-xwkoy9shk

In +dev0125 the action "Item: Glue items" name is changed to "Item: Glue items within time selection". Note the media item context menu name "Glue items" is unchanged (still runs the action "Glue items, ignoring time selection" as expected).

FWIW the name of the action should just be the same everywhere to prevent confusion. Whenever this is not the case I have to rest and make sure scripts that I bind to keys are what I think they are.
