Default IDE: Copy/pasting breaks indentation



When copying indented lines without selecting the beginning spaces, indentation get messed up

Yeah, it adds indentation of the first line to the next ones.
Very annoying.

You likely need to copy the whole line including the prefix spaces. Thats how I always do it for Lua code and works just fine.

hmm yeah I guess the indentation should be normalized against the minimum of the start of the selection, and the leftmost non-whitespace, maybe? need to make sure that doesn't have any negative side effects...

If you do textselection via Keyboard, this is more complicated than with mouse.
Especially as the home-key jumps to the beginning of the first character and just a second home-key pressing goes to the start of the line.

Which is great but for textselection, it is annoying.
