Default Track grouping - take changes ignored by TCP hidden tracks

I posted this originally in the General Discussion forum, but I very much feel like this is a bug so am reposting here.

If I hide a track in a group from the TCP, it no longer follows take changes made by other tracks in that group. See screen capture below:

I don't know if this behavior is intended, but I find it limits the usability of track grouping.
As a working example: when recording guitars I'll have some microphone tracks as well as a separate DI track, so that every instrument has a few tracks associated with it. When comping takes I might not be interested in seeing all those tracks at once, as they are really just screen clutter in this stage. It would be very convenient if I could hide all but one track per instrument, yet still have the hidden tracks follow the comps I create.

Any thoughts on this? Am I just missing something?

Using v6.78 on Windows 11.

Yes, I'd call this a bug. Fixing, thanks.

Should be fixed in the latest prerelease builds.
