Does anyone know why this happens?
For example, numerous items are stacked vertically within one single track, but splitting one of those stacked items, causes the new (shorter) item to jump around vertically. Should they not remain in the same order? I will make a gif shortly. Last edited by talustalus; 05-07-2023 at 10:57 PM. |

As of REAPER v6.72, there is an option in Preferences/Appearance/Media item positioning to arrange overlapping media items in the order they were created, which may help keep this arrangement stable.
[edit] although, I don't think there's any reason not to fall back to the creation order for items that start at the exact same time -- we may make this change. Last edited by schwa; 05-08-2023 at 04:09 AM. |

Thank you Agreed this would be a good change, I think having an item with the same timestamp move away from it's sibling is needles |
