I'm editing multi-tracked drums, and noticed that making Splits for editing is yielding different behaviors with Track vs. Media Item grouping.
Track grouping: Select all tracks, create a Group, and select Media/Razor Edit Lead and Media/Razor Edit Follow in the Group. > Grouping screenshot: https://imgur.com/NGbIjsA > Split behavior screenshot - notice how only 3 of the 7 tracks has the Split: https://imgur.com/q6M0TEZ Media Item grouping: Select all media items and hit 'G'. > Split behavior screenshot - all 7 of the tracks has the Split: https://imgur.com/EEvKB62 The only thing I can think of that would cause this behavior is that I moved some of the tracks for better phase alignment. Is that the cause? If yes, can I force the desired Track Grouping behavior? |

I think this is essentially a bug, that we'll fix for the next release, which will probably be pretty soon (like maybe tomorrow), because there are a few cleanup bugs like this from the 7.0 update.
Until then, if this option is enabled in the toolbar grouping button right-click menu, it will likely improve the behavior (but not fix all cases) if it's disabled: ![]() |

Acknowledged, thanks! Toggling "Track media/razor edit grouping affects only items that start and end at the same time" didn't fix, but that's okay - I will use Media Item Grouping for the time being.
