Default (linux) dragging fx from master track to empty area of TCP causes a crash

dragging fx from master track fx chain to empty space in track control panel area causes a crash.

expected behavior i guess was to create a new track by dragging an effect to an empty area of the track control panel area. was able to reproduce this a couple times so i thought i would say something.

Reaper version 7.

hmm can't reproduce here -- can you make a screen capture of it? or make a core dump of the crash?

does it matter which FX?

also fyi -- dragging a fx from a chain to the empty area does not create a track, you'd have to drag from the FX browser to create a track.

this time i set up an empty template and added reaeq to the master track, then attempted to drag reaeq from the fx chain of the master track to the empty space below the track control panel of the master track where one would normally create new tracks. i realize this is not the way to create a new track but the reason i tried it is because it seemed intuitive to do so. i get an instantaneous crash from trying to do that on Manjaro Linux using ALSA as my sound device.

I'll send the single download link to dm (of the core dump) file won't attach here.

thanks! for now if you turn off the "single FX chain" option in the prefs it will prevent this crash.

thank you!
i wasn't worried so much about this kind of crash, as it's kind of a hot stove learned-my-lesson kind of thing, but i might ought to have reported it to be on the safe side.
