create 2 tracks, each with 2 lanes.
One item on lane 1 of each track. Copy both items. Clic on lane 2 of topmost track to targedt that lane for pasting paste -> items get pasted in lane 1 of each track -> shouldn't they get pasted to lane 2 of each track? it works when using just 1 track. -"drag to copy-paste" works but that can be very unpracticle in certain situations |

Currently the behavior is to allow targeting a specific lane only if the destination is a single track, to avoid potentially unexpected behavior when the multiple destination tracks have different states (some are fixed-lane tracks and some not, tracks have different numbers of lanes, etc). But we could extend this to allow targeting a lane if the destination tracks are all similar enough.

And maybe for a mixture of destinations it could be so: If you are targeting lane 3 in one of the destination track: if only one lane visible -> paste into visible lane if not fixed lane track -> paste into track if multiple lanes are visible AND lane 3 exists, paste there if multiple lanes are visible AND lane does not exist 3 exists, don't paste for that track that would be my expectations anyway. But i'm probably missing a bunch of possibilities.. |
