Default Action "Delete comp areas (including source media)" should keep crossfaded parts

I love the option to delete the items that have been used in a comp for quickly creating doubles from a bunch of vocal takes.

However, as it is currently implemented, it still can involve a bunch of manual work to fix the output.

Here's an example of a comp before the action is applied

And here's the same comp after running Track lanes: Delete comp areas (including source media) and re-comp for track under mouse

The problem is that the action left a bunch of empty space where the items where cross faded.

On the one hand, this is good because it ensures absolutely no part is used twice. On the other hand, this can leave gaps that you need to leave comp mode to fix.

So I would like the option to keep the parts of the item that were faded.
