Mouse modifier to enable ripple editing is buggy if fixed lane tracks are enabled

I have one of my left drag mouse modifiers set to enable ripple editing for all tracks while dragging an item. This is something I use very often. The expected behaviour for this is that ripple editing is activated when I initiate the left drag, and deactivated as soon I release the mouse button

Lately I have noticed that if any of my tracks have fixed lanes enabled ripple editing doesn't deactivate when the mouse is released and I have to turn it off manually if I want to continue editing without rippling. It doesn't happen all the time. With longer mouse drags it never happens, but with shorter mouse drags (one second or less) it happens at least 50% of the time.

This is an incredibly frustrating bug that has been forcing me to hit the undo button at least 5 times a minute lately as ripple editing keeps accidently being left on.
