[improved in 7.07] Wrong menu item label in the region menu

The action linked to the menu item creates loop within region rather than time selection. It only creates time selection if the preference to link both is enabled, which is its default state, but once unlinked the menu item name stops being accurate.

So it's either the label is wrong or the action.
