Default open audio file in media explorer after rendering

I remember having an option to automatically open an audio file in media explorer after rendering. I've looked in all the right places, and cannot figure out how to do this. Did the option disappear?

There's no automatic option, but there is a button on the render dialog below. If the render dialog is automatically closing after the render is complete, you may need to change the top setting in REAPER preferences.

The three options at the bottom of the "finished/render status" window do not appear for me. I can't figure out why because I know they're supposed to be there.

The only reason those buttons should not appear is (1) the render is not yet finished, (2) it is a dry run render, or (3) it is a queued render. If none of those is the case for you, could you post a screenshot of that window?

Here's a screenshot, I hope. It's not showing up in the preview.

I think the window is too tall and extending beyond the bottom of the screen? Try resizing it to be less tall by dragging the top edge down, then dragging the whole window up.

I've already tried resizing the window before starting this thread. Once I do, I have to stretch it out again to see the bottom, so there's no point. I wonder why there are so many open rows (lines) after the file that's been rendered? I'm guessing that if that number can be reduced, I'd see what I'm supposed to at the bottom?

This is what is supposed to happen when resizing the window. Are you seeing something different? If so, could you post your reaper.ini file? Options menu > Show REAPER resource path to find the file.

No, what you've posted is not what I see. Here's my reaper.ini file.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "Do this." I don't see the "when finished" or anything at the bottom of my window after a render. The screenshot I first attached is still accurate.

By the way, if I don't get this fixed, no biggie. It's not hard to open the explorer manually.

Using your reaper.ini file, I see that the render window is positioned so that the bottom is offscreen. If I resize it to be smaller by first dragging the top edge of the window down (note that I am resizing the window with the first gesture, not moving it), then moving the entire window upwards, as in my last screencap, then I am able to see the bottom of the window. Have you tried doing that, exactly as I show in the screencap?

Right. Tried that dozens of times but it doesn't work for me. It may be due to a plugin I installed awhile back that makes text bigger (readable) in Reaper. Just thought of that today. Thanks so much for your help. I have no problem living with things as they are.
cheers,
David
