Open "Empty Item" notes windows are displayed from all project tabs, not only from active project tab!
![]() These windows from other (background) project tabs should be hidden (or marked with the tab# and project-name at least). See screenshot, I have 3 projects open in tabs (Project-A, Project-B and Project-C). I have Empty item with example text in each of them, opened-visible. ![]() . . EDIT: Well, there is this "Hide background projects FX/MIDI windows" in right-click menu on project tabs. So either it should cover the case with "Empty items" too, or add a new one also for "Empty items" if it makes more sense than together with FX/MIDI windows. And BTW, in the action list, this action is called more general: "Project tabs: Hide all background project windows", so that should definitely hide Empty items. I tried this in v7.22 +dev0903a and it is working
![]() Thank you But it is not immediate - I mean if I uncheck the option and create Empty Item and maybe also plugin window in each of e.g. 3 project tabs, then enable this option, i have to activate all of those tabs one by one to reinitialize the correct behavior (to hide them in this case). What I mean: - let's uncheck the "Hide background projects windows" option - in each tab I insert Empty Item and open the window (type in prj1 -proj3 to recognize them) - I see all 3 Empty Item windows visible (because of unchecked "Hide..." option, OK) - Now I enable the "Hide..." option (still no change, but that maybe OK, even though I would expect that all background windows will hide at that moment..??) - I activate tab1, now I see Empty Item windows and plugins for tab1 and tab2 (windows from tab3 are already hidden) - I activate tab2, then I see only Empty Item window and plugins for tab2 (OK) - since that moment it is all reinitialized and we will see only active tab windows BTW, the "not-immediate" behavior was there still I think as I never needed change the default state of this "Hide background project windows" option. And also is the same the other way = to make the background project windows visible. Let me know if it can be somehow improved or not - so in the second case I would mark the issue as [FIXED] already. Thanks Last edited by akademie; 09-06-2024 at 10:54 AM. |
