Default [7.24] Metronome is erratic when rate is >2x

Hello,

Steps to reproduce:
Set metronome on (default settings)
Increase playback rate past 2x

Metronome becomes erratic ie: missing beats, alternating accented beats etc.

Think it's a bug. Appreciate any attention to it, thanks :-)

What audio device driver are you using? Some device drivers may have built-in pop filtering that causes this behavior. I have noticed it when using WASAPI, but not with ASIO drivers.

Thanks for the reply.

PreSonus Studio 24c.

But I just tried on a different machine/different OS with the built in soundcard and it's the same story.

Hmm, I'm really not able to reproduce any problem, running the metronome with default settings, 120bpm with project playrate at 4.0.

[edit] ah, I can reproduce with a non-integer playrate. Looking into this, thanks for the report.
