[RESOLVED v7.31] Render to File "Tracks with only mono media to mono files"

Tracks with only mono media to mono files seems to have stopped working here. Can anyone else confirm?
v7.28 on Mac OS 14.6.1

Are there any other circumstances (e.g. track settings) that should result in stereo files other than a stereo media item on the track?

I would check if there are stereo items on the track that are not displayed, like maybe in inactive takes or muted items or even on hidden fixed lanes. Another possibility is if you are using the region render matrix and the region/track combination is set to "render (force stereo)". You could share the .rpp (without media or fx) if you wanted.

It seems that Take FX is causing the issue (in this case, Auto-Align 2). Is there something I can do, or is it possible to change this in a future update so that Take FX will defer this render setting respectively?

Hmm, yes, we can change this so this setting will consider only the number of media channels, not the number of channels output by the take fx.

This didn't seem to make it into the release, nor do I see it mentioned outside of v7.29+dev0103 - January 3 2025...[*]+ Render: setting to render tracks with only mono media to mono files considers only source media channels, not per-take fx output channels [t=297016]

No, it's not yet in a release version. The change was only made a few days before the current release was finalized.

Thank you for this addition on the latest 7.31 update today. This thing has been bugging me for ages (as I tend to use lots of take-FX), having to re-run multitrack renders specifically for the mono tracks after the initial batch.
