I can't get video from mp4/mkv hevc, only audio... shouldn't this be supported in reaper with wmf? Could you guys confirm this?
I am actually able to run the video with the native player on win10/11 with hevc extension. |

I just tried Reaper v7.33+dev0218 and Hevc video finally works, thanks.
Reaper has the same problem with Vorbis (Web Media Extensions) and AV1 (AV1 Video Extension) in wmf. Meanwhile, Vp9 (VP9 Video Extensions) and Opus seem to work, but they have some shady code in source properties. ![]() Check these (videos work correctly on native win10/win11 player)-> Test Vorbis:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Dts...ew?usp=sharing Test AV1OPUS: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10s4...ew?usp=sharing Test AV1AAC:https://drive.google.com/file/d/17ij...ew?usp=sharing Test VP9OPUS: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AG2...ew?usp=sharing Test VP9AAC: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qHu...ew?usp=sharing Test H264OPUS: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZMk...ew?usp=sharing |

And to finish, i just tested also MPEG-2(MPEG-2 Video Extension) and Dolby AC-3(Microsoft Dolby Digital Plus Decoder) and they seem to work like VP9 and OPUS, not recognizing the format. ![]() Test Mpeg-2AC-3: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XdG...6p4-g6uf_/view So the ones that absolutely don't work, just like hevc before, are AV1 and Vorbis. |
