Default Playrate automation with r8brain is broken

Automating the playrate while using r8brain to resample results in some pretty nasty sounding audio. Give it a shot!

I don't know if this is a limitation of r8brain or Reaper's implementation- if it's just the way r8brain is, it would be nice to have a pop up or something to flag it when enabling playrate automation while using r8brain.

It worth noticing that r8brain in reaper isnt up to (6.3 VS 6.5, though 6.5 has been stable for more tjan one year)

Sounds reasonably decent here with a playspeed envelope, though yes, sinc interpolation etc sound better for big automated changes. r8brain-free doesn't support changing samplerates on the fly, so REAPER's implementation has to do a lot of legwork to make it work at all.

Here it starts to sound decimated with 64spls block size, OK with 128

I guess it is same at item level when using stretch markers ?


But as far as I understand, take rate isn't an issue as it isn't an automation. Correct ?

stretch markers seems ok as well as item rate
