How to use RENDER_EXTRAFILEDIR?

Recently a cool new feature has appeared in reaper and I really want to use it:

+ Render: support sending .wav.rpp and render_stats.html to alternate path vs media, via RENDER_EXTRAFILEDIR in project and render preset (no UI yet)

How to use it?
I've tried GetSetProjectInfo_String but it didn't work.

I think at present the only way to set this is to edit the .RPP file to add a line like

RENDER_EXTRAFILEDIR "C:\Users\schwa\whatever"

We can add support for this in GetSetProjectInfo_String().

Being added the same day as it's requested is crazy and what makes Reaper rise above all the other DAWS!

I use it to keep track of project versions. Very often a certain render sounds better than others and I return to this version of the project. I like this approach better than saving different versions, because in this case I can listen to a specific version before opening the project. It's very convenient.
