Details/screenshot?

I can give you a (long) list of strange midi behaviour, though it may be easier to clarify the situation.

By the way I'm using 11/4 meter, but also get in other odd meters, just curious if anyone else can reproduce this so I can report it as a bug.

Does that also happen with the default theme? What is your operating system and REAPER version (both 32 or 64 bit)? What do you need to do (steps to reproduce) in order to trigger that?

Yes it doesn't seem to be theme dependent, but insert 11/4 signature or any odd time signature, create midi item, open in midi editor, set grid to 1/16, then change from straight to swing, this drops the grid lines after beat 8, change from swing back to straight and they reappear, insert 13/8 signature and grid lines at end of measure disappear whether using straight or swing. The main problem with this is snap adheres to grid line, no grid line, no snap, either it snaps to last visible grid line or next measure.

i do see this often.

Glue usually fixes this.

In fact glue seems to fix everything MIDI wise in reaper - or at least half the time. The only bad part is that my left index finger is stuck to the J key now (which is what I assigned Glue to)

But oh! I can even work around that! I created a macro to change any macro keybinding to the j key - using a mouse modifier of course!@

This will only make sense only if you can play in 11/4.

(think of it as 3/4,3/4,3/4,2/4 - or some iteration there of - and it's just groovy, really heavy time sig, like waltzing to a merengue.

*edit* that's merengue - like the dance not meringue like the pie, silly spellchecker! now.. who want's pie!

You are bonkers! Love it!!

I have played and danced to both waltzes and the merengue, but the idea of a hybrid is hilarious!

You HAVE to post a track or at least give us a link.

Glue works somewhat but when you turn on swing your back to where you started.
